2 cups half-and-half cream
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
120g Jarlsberg cheese, shredded
60g Mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell
1 Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
2 In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and half-and-half. Season with salt,
white pepper and nutmeg. Place shredded Jarlsberg cheese and Mozzarella cheese
in the pie shell. Pour egg mixture over cheese.
3 Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175
degrees C), and bake for 25 minutes, or until crust is golden and filling is
set. Allow to set 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
Note: This is a basic quiche recipe. Almost anything can be added to this quiche.
Use your imagination to make this the ultimate quiche.
